As many of you probably know, Shakespeare Quarterly is behind schedule. As of this writing, we are just wrapping up production on the Winter 2019 issue. The one-year lag between publication-date and calendar-date is partly a result of our transition to Oxford University Press in 2018 and partly a result of COVID-19. The lag is frustrating for us, and we know that it is frustrating for both our readers and our authors. We are doing everything we can to close the production gap in the coming months.
In spite of the production delays, SQ continues to receive and accept exciting, cutting-edge scholarly work, and we want to do what we can to let our readers know what is forthcoming. Over the next several weeks we will be posting abstracts of essays and author information for content scheduled to appear in the 2020 volume. Updates will be announced here. We hope that this process will go some way toward representing and continuing to facilitate the scholarly conversations of which SQ has the privilege to be an integral part. And we hope to be back on schedule as soon as possible.

With thanks for your forbearance, and your continued support of Shakespeare Quarterly,
