Robert S. Miola

Robert S. Miola is the Gerard Manley Hopkins Professor of English and a Lecturer in Classics at Loyola University Maryland. An editor of Shakespeare and Jonson, he has written on early modern Catholicism (Oxford, 2007)¬†and also on Renaissance¬†receptions of Greek and Latin literature. Recent publications include an edition of Chapman’s Iliad (2017) and the Norton Critical edition of Hamlet (2019). He is the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including most recently the Beverly Rogers award for 2019, for “Ben Jonson’s Reception of Lucian,” published by The Ben Jonson Journal.
