Sawyer Kemp

Sawyer Kemp is a PhD Candidate in English at the University of California, Davis studying seventeenth- and eighteenth-century drama and contemporary performance.  Their dissertation uses queer theory and disability studies as a lens for audience experience in order to investigate the many valences of “accessibility” in contemporary Shakespeare performance. Sawyer’s work with the Davis ModLab includes fieldwork for Play the Knave  installations, archival research for the Queer Games cluster, and game design for an immersive, “live”gaming venue.
