Nicholas Toothman

Nick Toothman is a PhD candidate at the University of California, Davis. He researches animation, shape deformation, skinning, and human-computer interaction, with the hope of improving relations between humans and virtual characters. Thwarted by bad menus and steep learning curves, he seeks the balancing point between software and interface that permits rewarding and expressive virtual character experiences for all. His wife and critters constantly inspire him and lovingly keep him grounded from spending all of his waking hours in virtual reality.
